Jennifer Johnson

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Jennifer manages the financial, business, and human resources needs of Empower Project. She earned her Master of Public Affairs and BA in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and gained valuable experience in health policy research, international counternarcotics regulations, and high road solutions to social problems with Mayors Innovation Project at the Center for Wisconsin Strategy. Throughout her career, she’s had the opportunity to work with a variety of communities including at the Wisconsin Elections Commission, the U.S Department of State in Guatemala, and Madison’s Latino Academy of Workforce Development. When she’s not working, she’s busy learning her fourth language: Turkish. She also enjoys volunteering with Girls Gone International as an event host, helping women who live internationally build community in new countries.
