Chief Development Officer

  • Type: Full-time, remote, and executive-level

  • Salary: $144,000 a year

The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will be accountable for meeting the organization’s revenue and donor stewardship goals. The CDO will be a leader in driving best fundraising practices in a fast-growing, dynamic family of c3 and c4 organizations. The CDO will play a central role in raising $25M in 2024 and beyond.


We seek a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with experience leading fundraising in large organizations or campaigns.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior executive with a history of past success in leading development programs that prioritize major donors and foundations. They will join a group of successful mission-driven technology and advocacy organizations to drive growth, ensure a stable long-term base of support, and diversify revenue sources.

State Organizing Directors

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available immediately and lasting through November 15, 2024.

  • Salary: $8,500/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

The State Organizing Directors will lead a team of Regional Organizing Directors (RODs) and  Community Organizers (COs) for statewide paid relational organizing programs in AZ, GA, NV, MI, MT, MN, NV, NC, OH, or PA. The State Organizing Directors will hire, onboard, train, lead and monitor metrics for, and coach up to Regional Organizing Directors (RODs.) Additionally, the State Organizing Directors will onboard, train, monitor metrics for a team of Community Organizers (COs,) as well as conduct related administrative tasks. Critically, they will also facilitate large-scale trainings alongside their organizing team, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and maximum impact of each event. The COs in each region will be responsible for building a universe of paid Community Mobilizers (CMs) to conduct calls to action before the election in November.

State Digital Organizing Directors

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available immediately and lasting through November 15, 2024.

  • Salary: $7,000/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

The State Digital Directors will work closely with Empower Project leadership and the Organizing Team to recruit tens of thousands of Community Mobilizers (CMs) for statewide paid relational organizing programs in AZ, GA, NV, MI, MT, MN, NV, NC, OH, and PA. The State Digital Director will be part of the strategic team and be encouraged to offer input into program design. This position is an opportunity to play a senior role on a groundbreaking program that aims to scale to 10 states in 2024.

Regional Organizing Directors

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available in August and lasting through November 15, 2024.

  • Salary: $7,000/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

The Regional Organizing Directors will lead a team of Community Organizers for statewide paid relational organizing programs.

The RODs will onboard, train, monitor metrics for, and coach Organizers, as well as conduct related administrative tasks. Critically, they will also facilitate large-scale trainings alongside the organizing staff, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and maximum impact of each event.

Community Organizers

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available in August and lasting through November 12, 2024.

  • Salary: $4,750/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

  • Work Schedule: Six days per week with Fridays off. Organizers will work either Sunday - Thursdays 11:30am - 8:45pm Eastern or 11:30am - 8:45pm Mountain time, depending on their state assignment. Saturdays are a shortened schedule, ending at either 5:45pm Eastern or 5:45pm Mountain time, depending on state assignment.

Organizers will onboard, train and manage a large group of paid Community Mobilizers (CMs) for statewide paid relational organizing programs. The programs will ask the CMs to spread the word about the upcoming election to their own friends and family. Hired applicants will have strong time management skills because they will have to balance their time between onboarding, training and managing a large group of program participants (CMs). They will also conduct large-scale trainings and hold their direct reports accountable for accurate and timely reporting. Finally, Organizers will also be expected to create a positive and safe work environment, be flexible as the campaign changes, and be creative in achieving the biggest possible scale of outreach.

Digital Organizers

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available in August and lasting through November 12, 2024.

  • Salary: $4,750/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

  • Work Schedule: Six days per week with Fridays off. Digital Organizers will generally work either Sunday - Thursdays 11am - 8pm Eastern or 11am - 8pm Mountain time, depending on their state assignment. Saturdays are a shortened schedule, ending at either 5pm Eastern or 5pm Mountain time, depending on state assignment.

Digital Organizers will work closely with Empower Project leadership and the Organizing Team to recruit tens of thousands of Community Mobilizers (CMs) for statewide paid relational organizing programs in AZ, GA, NV, MI, MT, MN, WI, NC, OH, and PA.

Digital Organizers will support the Digital Director and be encouraged to offer input into program design. This position is an opportunity to play an exciting role in a groundbreaking program that aims to scale to 10 target states in 2024.

Data & Operations Assistants

  • Type: Full-time, remote, salaried position available in August and lasting through November 22, 2024.

  • Salary: $4,750/month

  • Benefits: Healthcare benefits and 2 paid sick days.

  • Work Schedule: Six days per week with Fridays off. Operations Assistants will work Sunday - Thursdays 10am - 7pm Eastern. Saturdays are a shortened schedule, ending at 5pm Eastern.

The Data & Operations Assistants will work closely with the Data Team to assist Community Mobilizers in troubleshooting their payment issues. These positions are an opportunity to play a crucial data role in a groundbreaking program that aims to scale to 10 states in 2024.
