Mike Pfohl is President and founder of Empower Project with a background in political organizing and software design. He has years of experience in state government, political campaigns, presidential campaigns, and local school board races. Before founding Empower, he served as Political & Program Director at America Votes Wisconsin. In 2011, he played a pivotal role in the birth of the relational organizing movement during the Wisconsin recall elections, leveraging the power of friends and family to enact change.  He developed the first-ever relational organizing software tool, now known as Empower today. After seeing first hand how limiting the traditional ways of voter communication had become, and how destructive for-profit models in tech could be, he decided to create a non-profit solution.
